Turley Sauvignon Blanc 25
The Zinfandel king's oyster wine. Larry Turley bought his original five acres in St. Helena in 1974 and famously bet against Napa's Cabernet gold rush, building Turley Wine Cellars into America's defining producer of old-vine Zinfandel — organically farmed since 1993, when the estate earned CCOF certification. Less famous: Sauvignon Blanc was one of the very first wines made from the Turley Estate back in '93, and after those vines gave way to Zin, the family has replanted a small block the old way — dry-farmed, head-trained, from heritage Napa Valley budwood — under winemaker Tegan Passalacqua. The 2025 is tiny-production estate Sauvignon Blanc with old-California soul: bright, mineral, and built for the raw bar (the winery jokes that Larry is hoarding it and "sharpening his oyster shucker as we speak"). A collector name at an everyday-luxury price — grab it before the mailing list does.
