Portlandia began with a road trip: in 1999, Florida native Damian Davis was driving cross-country to a new tech job when he stumbled into the Willamette Valley mid-harvest — and arrived at his new home with a car so full of Oregon wine it could barely make the trip. He founded Portlandia Vintners in 2008 to share that discovery, and this Pinot Gris shows why the obsession stuck. Stainless-steel fermented and deliciously dry, the 2022 leads with lemon zest, pear, and stone fruit, then peach and green apple over a sturdy spine of acidity and wet-stone minerality. Named to Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 Best Buys — an easy-drinking Oregon classic for seafood, veggie dishes, and light pastas.
