From the Campbell family, who've farmed Oregon's Willamette Valley for over 40 years at Elk Cove Vineyards, Pike Road is the sister label named for the actual road that winds past their vineyards outside Yamhill into the Coast Range. The Chardonnay is drawn primarily from estate fruit, rounded out by longtime partner growers among the valley's small family farms, and split between two upbringings: 37% barrel-fermented in French oak (just 3% new) and 63% in stainless steel, both through full malolactic for eight months. The near-perfect 2024 vintage delivered classic Willamette balance — pear, apple, white peach, and lemon with a whisper of toast, creamy texture, and a fresh, saline-mineral finish. Serious Oregon Chardonnay at a weeknight price.
