Luxardo Maraschino
Considered the original maraschino liqueur, Luxardo's recipe dates to 1821 and uses the entire Marasca cherry tree — skins, pits, stems, and leaves — macerated, distilled, and aged in ash-wood vats for years. The result is clear, intensely aromatic, and only subtly cherry-flavored, with notes of roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and orange marmalade that have made it the backbone of classics like the Aviation and Last Word.
