Licor 43
Inspired by an ancient Roman-era elixir said to have originated in Cartagena over 2,000 years ago, Licor 43 gets its name from the 43 secret ingredients in its recipe — only five of which (vanilla, orange, lemon, coriander, and tea) have ever been publicly confirmed. Introduced commercially in 1946 by the Zamora family, its golden, vanilla-forward sweetness makes it a favorite in coffee drinks like the Carajillo and classic cocktails like the Yellow Bird.
