La Gerla is a small, family-owned estate on the southeastern slopes of Montalcino, producing Brunello with a traditional, unhurried approach. The 2018, a warm vintage of excellent quality, shows concentrated cherry fruit, dried rose petals, tobacco, and the iron-laced minerality that defines this extraordinary appellation. Built to age, but drinking well now with a good decant.
