Cocchi Americano

Cocchi Americano is a Piedmontese aperitif wine made from Moscato d'Asti with an infusion of gentian root, cinchona bark, citrus, and spice. It's the closest modern analog to the original Kina Lillet that appeared in early Vesper Martini recipes before the Lillet formula was changed — floral, gently bitter, and subtly honeyed. An exceptional aperitif and a genuinely important cocktail ingredient.
