Clos Moulin Chartrie Muscadet 24
The single-parcel expression from Domaine Bonnet-Huteau, the 150-year-old family estate in La Chapelle-Heulin now run by brothers Jean-Jacques and Rémi — certified organic since 2005, biodynamic under Biodyvin, and devoted to vinifying each of its four terroirs separately to let Muscadet's underrated geology speak. Clos Moulin Chartrie grows on shallow orthogneiss — a sparkling bedrock of quartz, feldspar, and mica — with yields held to a strict 40 hl/ha, fermented slowly at controlled temperatures and aged sur lie. The 2024 is mineral-led and precise: ripe white fruits, flint, and citrus over white flowers and wet stone, with a gentle interplay of weight and freshness and a long, saline drive. Muscadet with genuine terroir seriousness — pour it with roasted sea bass, scallops, or a raw bar spread.
