Bouchard Pere & Fils Meursault Les Boucheres 22
From the domaine holdings of Bouchard Père & Fils — Burgundy's historic house founded in 1731, whose cellars run beneath the Château de Beaune — comes this genuinely rare Meursault: the estate farms just 0.38 hectares of Les Bouchères, a climat classified "Tête de Cuvée" as far back as 1855. Perched above Le Porusot at 260 meters on limestone-marl soils kin to Genevrières and Gouttes d'Or, it gives a silkier, rounder Meursault than its taut neighbor. Hand-picked into small crates, bunch-sorted, and raised 9–10 months in French oak (no more than 15% new) before resting in steel, the 2021 — a tiny, frost-reduced vintage prized for its classical freshness — layers hazelnut, brioche, and white orchard fruit over a poised, mineral spine. Beautiful now with poultry in cream sauce or lobster, and built to reward 5–7 more years.
