Bonnets Blancs Muscadet 25
From Domaine Bonnet-Huteau, a family property for over 150 years in the heart of Sèvre et Maine — Muscadet's finest zone, twenty minutes from Nantes and the Atlantic — now run by brothers Jean-Jacques and Rémi Bonnet, certified organic since 2005 and fully biodynamic (Biodyvin). Les Bonnets Blancs comes from 15–30-year-old Melon de Bourgogne vines on La Tarcière's shallow, sandy soils over gneiss, slowly wild-fermented and rested six months sur lie for that signature Muscadet texture. The 2025 is fine and precise: wet stone, lemon, and subtle white peach with pear, white flowers, and a whisper of hay, singing with minerality through a mouthwateringly saline finish. There is no better $20 bottle for oysters, clams, moules frites, or anything pulled from the sea.
