Blancher Cava Brut 750ml
Cava the old family way, from the heart of the capital of cava itself. Blancher was founded by Antoni Capdevila Pujol and Teresa Blancher Solanes — the house bears her name — who built their winery in 1952 in the center of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia: five stories in traditional vaulted Catalan style, with cellars sunk deep underground where the temperature holds naturally steady for slow bottle aging. Three generations later the Carbó Planas brothers still do everything on site, from pressing to labeling, and make only Reserva and Gran Reserva cavas — nothing rushed out young. The Brut blends the classic trio of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, aged a minimum of 18 months on the lees in those cool cellars: baked apple, citrus, and toasted almond over fine, persistent bubbles and a crisp, dry finish. Traditional-method depth at a house-pour price — tapas, fried anything, or a Tuesday that deserves bubbles.
