Balvenie 12 Year Doublewood

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 is matured first in traditional American oak ex-bourbon casks, then transferred to Oloroso sherry butts for finishing — a two-wood process that adds layers of rich fruit, honey, and warm spice to the Speyside house style. What makes Balvenie exceptional beyond the whisky itself is how they make it: they still grow their own barley, malt on-site in traditional floor maltings, employ their own coopers, and run their own cooperage. One of the last distilleries in Scotland doing all of this under one roof.
