Zuccardi Zeta Malbec Blend 2010
Double hand selection after and before destemming, gently crushed. Fermentation tanks filled by gravity. Fermentation was carried out with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats with daily delestage and pigeage. The malolactic fermentation was finished in barrels. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Then blended and bottled. 87% Malbec, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon
At first sight the wine shows an attractive red-violet color, intense and profound.
In the nose one feels delicate dark fruits like blueberries, cassis, and blackberries. One can also feel subtle notes of anise and flowers. In the background, aromas from the oak barrels like cloves, tobacco and spices can be savored. It has a very complex and elegant aromatic personality.
In the mouth one can perceive an immensely solid structure with firm, mature tannins. The acidity makes the wine vivacious and fresh.
