Underberg Herbal Bitters

Underberg has been produced in Rheinberg, Germany since 1846 to a recipe of 43 different herbs from 43 countries. Each miniature bottle contains a single serving of intensely concentrated, deeply bitter herbal digestif — traditionally consumed in one brisk shot after a heavy meal. Whether it genuinely aids digestion, as its German devotees insist, is a matter of debate. That it tastes remarkable and feels immediately restorative is not.
