Quinta de Couselo Turonia Albariño 24
$25.99Price
Quinta de Couselo has roots going back to Cistercian monks in 1163, and the Turonia is their single-vineyard flagship—sourced from two parcels, Da Quinta and Sobral, on schist soils in the high part of the estate in O Rosal, Rías Baixas' southernmost subzone. Hand-harvested into small crates, cooled, sorted, and aged on lees for four months, it's a more structured, site-specific Albariño than the estate's broader bottling—peach blossom, lime zest, bay leaf, and a racy mineral-etched salinity that Wine Spectator calls 'vibrant' and Tim Atkin scores 90 points. The Atlantic doesn't just influence this wine; it defines it.
