Sirdavis Rye

SirDavis was founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and named for her great-grandfather Davis Hogue, who distilled moonshine in Alabama during Prohibition — hiding it in cedar trees for family and friends to discover. The whisky itself is anything but rustic: crafted by Dr. Bill Lumsden (the legendary master distiller behind Glenmorangie and Ardbeg) from an Indiana-distilled 51% rye / 49% malted barley mash bill, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in Texas. The result is silky and sophisticated, with Seville orange, clove, raisins, and a smooth warmth that bridges American rye and Japanese whisky sensibility. Award-winning and genuinely excellent.
