This wine is pretty balanced. It has a slight bitter finish, but is cleaned up by significant oak. It smells like balsamic and vanilla, with a whiff of soil. The palate is rich, with good acidity. That little bitter bite comes on the finish, as well. It’s a wine to bring to a BBQ party to match that sweet sauce.
