Chateau les Hauts d'Aglan Cahors 19

Château Les Hauts d'Aglan is a 14-hectare organic estate on the highest terraces of the Cahors appellation — south-facing clay-limestone slopes in the far west of the region, where Isabelle Rey-Auriat is the fifth generation of her family to farm these vines. The estate cuvée is a blend of 90% Malbec and 10% Merlot, fermented without intervention and aged 18 months in concrete vats that preserve the grape's honest, earthy character. The 2019 is structured and savory — dark plum, black olive, crushed violet, and a mineral backbone that makes this a compelling argument for Cahors as one of France's most undervalued appellations.
